Midlife Crisis, Democratizing Art, Role of Libraries
In the first episode I talked about the article from the New York Times that talks about many people pursuing creativity in their midlife. This dovetails with part of the conversation that I had with Katelyn about how makerspaces encourage this "don't get ready, get started' mentality for people. What do you think? How essential is this to the role of makerspaces?
Also, we talked about the article from Forbes suggesting that Amazon should replace public libraries in order to save taxpayer money. This is an egregiously absurd idea in my opinion because as we talk about in the episode libraries are so much more than just a building full of books. What's your take?
